Hi and welcome to my decklist for Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis, a group hug deck list built for multiplayer commander games. This strategy is two things: Politics and Pillow Fort. I have since separated with that mentality and done what I could to turn group hug into a deck with far more win conditions: force feed. Force tons of lands onto the battlefield and triple mana before forcing a 40 card draw with Minds Aglow and Psychosis Crawler. Or drop Temple Bell, Mind Over Matter, and Laboratory Maniac. Some people mention insta-win cards as win conditions, and to me those belong in pillow fort decks, not in group hug.

I would argue that insta-win conditions are most important for archetypes like group hug and pillowfort. Helping everyone while threatening to win if they go out of hand is what makes the game fun.

Head Games is a great way to give an opponent the win condition they need, let any opponent dump a hand full of lands, or even help an opponent who is falling behind catch up to the rest of the pack. I've seen far too many "group hug" decks that were nothing more than chaos decks, or even worse, kingmaker decks that tried to help their buddy win, and then they acted like they won as well.

I've seen far too many "group hug" decks that were nothing more than chaos decks, or even worse, kingmaker decks that tried to help their buddy win, and then they acted like they won as well. I will always target them, until the person playing the deck has shown that they aren't "that guy" and aren't going to just ruin the game.
